You can check the resistance through the CPS however, this is not conclusive the CPS is ok.

The proper way to check it would be to connect an oscilloscope across its contacts and monitor the signal when cranking (should produce an alternating/AC waveform).

You probably don’t have an oscilloscope handy so the other way is to connect a meter set to measure AC volts across the sensor. Crank the car over and you should see a voltage reading if all is ok.

Cheers mate i'll check it tommorrow in the light,

Think the coil-packs fine is showing about 1ohm accross the connectors if u know what i mean.

And theirs 12volts getting to the center connector on the multi-plug, um the other 2 connectors on the multi-plug are showing about 800ohm to earth, tried another coil aswell so think thats fine,

So what else could cause this, The fuel pump primes right for about 2 secs so it not in limp mode or anything like that,

I'll give the CPS a try tommorrow and then i take it were down the wiring or the EDIS,

Thanks for your help.

cps is located at front of engine gearbox side

also check the connector and wiring of the cps

as its a turbo, your exhaust housing is on that side, if your still running a T2 turbo

so could of got hot and melted

never known a edis to go down either
