I'm no engine expert, but that doesn't sound like much variation to me - whenever I've done comp tests it's been

140 140 140 0

Your results sound fine to me! I wish I had that much compression that's for sure.

Si

Yup. You are looking for even (ish) numbers on all 4.

You CAN'T tell if it's high/standard/low comp from a compression test.

As long as thats warm, with the throttle wide open its fine. Try it again with before and after a squirt of oil down the bores, if it goes up a lot all the rings are evenly knackered

Comerdy Dan may rember me taking my cossie to jamies it turned out my miss fire was due to the cam belt being a tooth out and shit compression that was 2yrs ago only just removing it now (and it still runs just not great

Alan those figures are too low for any Cossie to be healthy and I'LL bet you the reason is that the valves have clipped the pistons and AREN'T fully seated in the head(you'll be able to see where the carbon's blown by) once you've taken the head off!

all the best to you and family for the new year
