Had a bit of a misfire in the first session, but only at silly rpm. However "the Youth " managed to clean a few things .wreck 2 Rotor arms ,mine and a borrowed one of Bri4*4`s from the car park .

Blame was a dodgy fitting Dizzy cap and the two leads accidentaly put on wrong Never mind Steve ,can happen,i would have missed the second session anyhow with the torrential downpour

BIG thanxs to Dave ,who sorted us out with a rotor arm and cap (although i aint sure they where his to give away )out of i belive Marcos box of bits
Allso Dingy he sorted out the second rotor so Bri could drive home

Well done to Dave for fucking up the intermediate session how was the kitty litter

Good day out was had by all

one bum note was that after getting up at 4am to get a garage ,i turned up and found a free one no24 i think (one car in it) and was told no i cant come in as he was saving it for a freind twat had blocked the entrance with his Subaru Wagon and trailer .
A nice chap with a caterham 21 let me share one side of another with him
saved the bloke a slap anyhow
Top day mate....

Glad I never braved it now.

Would like to think you'd have done the same for me with the garage tho....

Entrance at top and bottom - NEVER blocked, suggest you listen to ryan in the breifing next time LOL...
WRONG

entrance at top CONSTSNATLY blocked throughout the day.

Entrance at botom is a bit useless at getting into the pits, as it's 1 way traffic only, so you cant go thru and back to the garages

as for the breifing, i listened to every word, and nothing of the sort was ever mentioned

PMSL....

In the breifing at every track day i have done at donnington...

Usually in the form of....

Entrance to pit lane is through a garage if your lucky enough to get one or entrance to the pitlane is at the top (normally you go out of paddock and round the outer road) or entrance to the track is on the bottom of the pitlane (bottom entrance)

If you came off track and went down the pitlane it was never blocked

Such a moaner PMSL.......and AFPMSL the fact you did no research into how shit M3 brakes are - fade in 2-4 laps is normal

twas not in the briefing. and also the only way we managed to get in was by unlocking the top gates and going thru.

all of which could be avoided by people NOT parking their trailers right up to the garage doors, and leaving a gap like everyone else did, now pleae go back in your box

and why would you actually LAUGH at the fact i didnt research into a car's braking capabilities? i really don't see the humour there. surely the whole point was to do a track day and FIND OUT

Jim no offence ment to be honest but i have heard nothing but bad things from the brakes on m3's and I have never done any research...

But normally you would do a post on a forum like you on here about the ford....

"track day in the m3 and advice of known issues"

Brakes would have been first thing mentioned

Thats why i think its funny

any yes shings i was indeed in the 2nd briefing

Jim.....it was absolutely choca at the rear of the pits I agree there, I too could find no way of getting back into the garage after one of the afternoon sessions as the top entrance appeared to be blocked and as you said everyone had parked close up the the garages - I was forced to park right over near the entrance of the paddock....bit annoying when you've got a garage....but such is life I suppose - perhaps Dono could paint the floor perhaps with markings in yellow so to remind people not to park directly behind the garages??

You'd think so wouldn't you but with best part of 50% of the Evo's on track driving like Miss Daisy was in the car- you gotta wonder sometimes.

1 even held the pug up!!!!!

PS- title adjusted for you Lynne - least I can spell you name correctly

It looks like the problems have started with a stripped mounting bolt(The one that also holds the strengthening bracket)and the diff has come loose over the day causing one of the mounts to pull out of the sump......
Once a nice new big wing has been fitted along with a fresh box she will be as good as new...
don't think the j turn helped after the little 'moment' at macleans
BUT it was THE best passenger ride i've had EVER!!

I only had a few poxy laps with Mike........... but they were goodun's!

Only one moment of madness from Mike but the boy done well to keep it on the black stuff, well impressed with the grip his car had ith normal road tyres!

IMO the BEST mix of power & handling for an Escort Cos track car

Apart from that it was too fucking cold & windy!

Friday night was funny though!

on line for a bit.

the car is running about 420bhp.

as Rob said, a bolt or two came loose on the front diff and must of came loose causing an oil leakso got the AA to take it home.

just got to sort a new sump but that will get sorted when i fit the new box as i lost 3rd gear again in the first session so i was going from 2nd to 4th all day , still passed lots of cars though, right Clive.

and them bits you had were mine not Marco's lol, my tools and spares were in the same pit as his car and tools,i would of not just taken bits.

Apart from the few bits that went wrong it was a fantastic day,and i was a bit iffy about going on track in that weather but, once on.....

could not believe the state of the track and the grass with all the offs, and yes i has one near the end because of slamming it into 2nd gear for every corner, this upsetting the back end but did not cause any loss of track time unlike Robbo.

good to meet a few new people there and sorry to the ones i missed.
