Fantastic day and some top driving by most people today, apart from the spinners

Spoke to Dangerous for a smidge (that was me in the black "type R" coat ) and to porkie too

Was so so tempted to pay Ł50 for just the afternoon session but didnt have my drivers license with me

The dolomite, as said, was just crazy and looked a right hoot to be a passenger in!

Here's looking forward to 2007 and more days like today!

Yeh - good talking too

You dont need to show your license to go out on track But as we said Its not always a good idea in those conditions wehn you need the car for your everyday transport

Sorry mate but if you changed the tyres you might get some proper times LOL T1-R's are FUCKING DOG SHIT......

You best tell the people that use that tyre combination for wets then.... as in those professionals that prefer that tyre amongst others for racing in wet conditions.

Hi peeps

I just like to say the Rs 2000 awesome since putting the Bilsteins on the front totally change the car

some of you forget that this is Rs2000 only 150bhp if that ,with standard engine/cat/exhaust, gearbox /diff

all i have done is suspension/ ap brakes/ front arms / rose joint beam

thats the lot it good for what it is and showed how good they can be

cant wait untill next time , i am well happy with it

I gave J.C a session in it ,he was quite gob smacked

cheers marco

@ Dingy

Marco, loved the standard RS hassling everything, you were holding off allsorts down the main straight

I had a peek at your tires in the morning, was that what you used all day and how was the handling compared to other cars you were battling with ?

top day despite the weather

shame a lot of sessions were stopped becasue of all the "Heroes" the quality of driving by a select few in the novice sessions was shocking. People need to learn some fucking manners, ESPECIALLY in a novice session full of inexperienced drivers!!!

altho i must admit, i did have a "moment" coming into the pit straight, plus lost it next to melbourne due to a stupid change into 2nd gear with no revs bringing the back round

as for the car, well i was a tad dissapointed with a few things. 1) the brakes would pack up after 2laps, i was getting serious judder. this needs investigating 2) i had no grip to the front, this might just be shonky tyres, but ill get the geometry checked just incase. wasnt helped much by my corner entry speeds and late turn ins tho... but once i geot the steering on earlier and approached the corners slower i was doing much better

Cheers,

Moving shoot are easy if the camera is setup right some of mine arnt perfect but im inproving all the time just need more practise but you only get that on track days really.

i set the camera up in manual mode F3.2 and 80ish on the shutter(depends on light), try to get as close to the track/object as poss so you dont have to use to much zoom(only as my lense isnt as powerfull as some of the expense cameras, im using a fuji S5600), pick a point on the track in front of you where the cars are passing about 10m(try and pick out a line on the track or an object so you know when to take the pic) and focus hold the focus and point the camera up track then follow the object/car to the point you have picked and take the photo make sure you follow through and dont stop dead,

you should be taking some better moving photo's then.

Allway take loads of pics and you will have a good chance of getting some good ones.

Marco's car was seriously quick today well choosen parts and superb tyres made it bloody quick, will only get better the more you drive it aswell bud.

Today made me realise why i sold the Integra the Saph wasn't as quick through the corners but it was bloody good fun, and alot more rewarding to drive.

Toyo T1-R's where better than i thought and must get a second set of wheels for summer/dry track use with different tyres.

Had a top day first track day i the Saph and went alot better than i thought i would tbh. Snapped actuator bracket on the way so was bodged with zip ties, which got me through the day[thanks Martin J], just ment i had to run a little less boost.

Came off at Redgate and slid along the grass for what seemed like a week, but no harm done. Also took a detor down the Melborne loop Other than that just nice getting to know the car a bit more. I know i wasnt very quick but i dont really care tbh had a really good laugh and thats what i went to do.

So many entertaining cars today but the ones that stood out where the 2 MKII's, the 200sx, but the Dolly just made me laugh everytime it came down the pit straight.

Nice to put some names to faces B9 KOS, Trevcoss, The Diva, Sticker Paul and a load more.

P.S. Sorry if held anyone up at any points did try to shift out of the way when ever i could.
Good to meet you today mate

Thanks for the interesting line towards the Melbounre Loop and some cool rear view mirror action

Was good to go out in your car and watch mine
