Unless I'm being stupid a re-circ dumpvalve is meant to cut out chatter and not give a whoosh either

if you get significant chatter with a recirc dump valve, then it is broken or the control hose is split or disconnected.

Wrong wrong wrong!

You get chatter from the unused boost escaping through the blades on the turbo, stalling them and making the Chattering noise.

If you use a recirc valve and make it dump from the inlet pipe into the intake pipe pointing at the blades you will get sick chatter.

P.S:

No more questions about chatter please! If you need to know about it, use the search button at the top and search for 'chatter'.

bollocks would you, not if its working right.
infact if the recirc is on the hotside still like standard, thats when you will get the least chatter, hence WHY its there as standard (noise suppression device).

when you got a big cone filter recircs are never silent as you just hear the woosh out the cone filter instead.

on cossies with a big grp-a you always get a bit of chatter even if dv is fine, and esp with a std one which isnt mega flowing, but if you cant hear the dump too, your dv is fucked.

and yes, more boost means more chatter, as does bigger intercooler.

and no, any other dv will make it quieter, as its your fucked dv that makes it that loud i bet

Errrrrr, why would i come out with that if i had never used it myself?

With both fitted it makes a wicked whooshing chatter on mine, my friends celica, skyline gts-t, and fiat coupe 20v turbo!

So stick that up your arse and smoke it

Stavros, your right in saying you get more chatter without one but i said sick chatter. Meaning 'that sounds sounds cool'

Makes more of a whooshing chatter!

Sounds proper bo i tell thee!
