Good Investments?
What is a good short term investment these days?
I have probably about £3k - £4k that I am willing to set aside for an investment. I know it isn't loads of cash but it is better than nothing. At the moment I have no savings, no pension or any other similar type of plan for the future.
Just curious as to how some of you guys invest.
Thanks

the value of investments can go up as well as down.
I have read a few books and they all point to an index tracker, drip fed, over time. Try and wait for a dip in the market and buy in.
take a look round here, www.fool.co.uk
I would put half what you have into a cash savings account and open a index tracker with the rest, then drip feed £50 or so a month into it. But every other fool is different and will have other opinions for you. Some will say go buy a car because its winter and sell it in summer
