Had a DUKES OF HAZZARD scalextric set in 1983
and a RALEIGH ULTRA BURNER B.M.X in 1984.

These are recent pics as i got them out the loft about 4 weeks ago and flogged them on E-BAY.

DUKES OF HAZZARD went for £40

RALEIGH ULTRA BURNER went for £122.

As a really young kid, I used to LOVE getting Playmobil and Lego stuff

I remember when I was about 10 I *reeeeeeeeeeeally* wanted one of these;

Sega After Burner game thingy

Never did get one tho

Had all manner of "fad" toys tho - Superman, Batman, Spiderman, Thunderbirds, Thundercats, etc.....

Still, kept me happy as a nipper

Always got phat toys off of my Mun N Dad, can't really remember anything that i was disapointed with to be honest, apart from the usual wack presents from your aunties etc, you know the ones, hankies, socks etc

A few favourites were........

Evil Kenivel toys, stunt action, figure with motor bike, dragster etc
original star wars toys, falcon, x wing fighter etc,
action man original, tanks, helicopters, jeeps etc,
remote control truckatronic convoy, 3 trailers in one, loved that,
and snap together model kits, no glue, no mess, mainly american hgv's loved them too
oh and scalextric, still got one and just bought a couple of cars of off ebay 3 dr cossie police car and evo 7

Best present..my sega master system II and all the sonic games...or a train set that managed to go round the whole of the downstairs of our house and i used to put the cat on and count until she got back round on it

Worst present..Barbie makeover/mirror kit (was never much of a little girl )..however..it came in a very large box which I made into a house and used for months until it fell apart

Legend! I had one of those!

I actually won it in a Sunday Times kids crossword competition. I was very much the nerd when I was a kid.
