I get 4788 kbps up and 352 kbps down.....

595.5kb/sec - 44kb/sec

I'm getting 3110 and 364 would that mean I'm now getting my 'upto 8meg' broadband? I was on 2meg before

depends on how far there server is away from you the ferver away it is the less accurate the results

i find this one pretty accurate

im on the same as you, its been a bit slow the past day or so.

just tested and got 9051 kpbs on
http://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest.html


& only 1876 kpbs on
http://www.speedtest.bbmax.co.uk/

both came out at about 470 for upload tho.

My results were practically identical on the thinkbroadband.com line as on the one I posted earlier, now about to try Adrian's link.......

So, all 3 were practically identical. BT reports my exchange as 5.5 meg despite the fact that I am on an 8-meg package, so they aren't far out.

got the same results on them all 940kbps

how can i find out what speed i can get, as last year i was only able to 1MB BB, surely i can get something a bit quicker a year later

Depends on your exchange, like me for example, ive had 1meg BB for years as its the fastest i can get out here in the sticks
On my Orange account i can check and it tells me im on the fastest available, surly you can find out the same way? if not ring your net provider and ask them, easy

me too Im on 8 meg bt broadband and I got 3060 download speed and 361 upload speed so dunno if that's right or not

I just got slung off the 'net, the router lost the connection and when it came back, this is what I got......
