Anyone remember the old Atari ST? I have a 520 and I was thinking of hooking that bad boy up again, had some awesome games, gotta love nostalgia

i think my fav e game was called xenon or summut?

 

xenon2 with the pro music i d/l an emulator not long back and you can play the games on your pc


even makes the loading noises

I had the 1K version.

Fucking loved that thing, seemed like something out of a sci-fi movie after my 48K spectrum.

also like the 1942 game, that was pretty cool, and the dodgeball game, forget what thats called tho - another classic!

Had a 520, 1040 and 520STe.

Cracking machine!

but not as good as a Commodore Amiga 500

ST is still regarded as one of the best computers for music iirc.

Loved the Spectum 128, +2. the +3 lost itself with disc's. the 48k with rubber keys was awesome LOL

Commodore C64 was cool too.

i had the 520 and the amiga 500 ( with the turtles pack,,,3 fuckign disks to load what a load of shite


the 520 i used to have the games pack, had a army stratagy game with shite 3d box graphics that i would play for AGES,,, think it had a walrus or somink for the sea, cant remember

also had outrun, toobin ( fucking mint game) and obv paper boy and california games,,,, mint


then i loaned it to a mate who got his house broken into and the wankers nicked it

year later i discovered there parents CLAIMED of THEIR insurnace and got a a brand new pc ( 486dx ,16 meg ram ) when THEY got paied out the CUNTS


but im not bitter,,,, well not as much

 

I had an Amiga 500, and it was amazing at the time

I am a bit of a collector

I have a 520 stfm working using a PC Floopy dosk drive and a mint 1040ste my pride and Joy.

But my master piece is a Atari woody TV consol.

 

My disc drive is going on my ST520, can you hook up any PC disc drive?

 

you have to change a resitor on the Drive, but that s all google it you will find a how to do it.

the case will not fit properly thats all

wonder what its worth now as it cost half what a motorbike was.

fook me, i remember them!! i had the amiga... think i still got it somewhere. when i was 16 i upgraded to the newer 600 style


was a bit smaller ,, may did this out for a play

I still have a 520STe in my loft - wonder if it's worth fuck all?

Had a few games - Lotus Challenge (1, 2 &3), Batman ( ), Navy Seals, Tekken (sure thats what it was called????) plus a few others...

Have heard someone else says it's regarded as the best for music - what can you do with it?

The amiga was a better machine same processor better video chip and sound chip, but no midi Midi support

 

yep have a 520st, like all ataris better than the competion by miles, but software development and marketing destroyed them

got a 2600 woody, sits on top of the tv!



but 520st, operation wolf, turtles, bombjack all good
