Default Cossie Internals Strength

Been done loadsa times before I know, but as the search is buggered.

At what BHP are the standard pistons good for?

Same goes for the crank as well ta.

Geezer seems to think the Cossie engine isn't all that and that the boxer engine is equal or better.

If machined down to a suitable comp ratio the standard pistons are good for 600bhp+ I believe.

Never heard of anyone breaking a cossie crank through power. I seem to remember talking to Karl and he said the crank should be good for 1000bhp!

Rods are good for 600bhp+ too.

When you got Mahle pistons, steel crank, and steel rods, all as standard, its safe to say with the right fueling that isnt the stuff thats gonna fail.

Think dumped's crank went at 500+ ATW but depends what condition that was in to start with. Heard standard rods and crank are good for 500+.

No, but for reasons of stroke more than strength.
