Have seen it on here before but cant find it anywhere, can someone please explain to me why power and torque crosses at about 5250RPM?

hp = (torque x rpm)/5250

So when rpm = 5250

hp = (torque x 5250)/5250

Or simply

hp = torque x 1

It crosses @ 5252rpm where power and torque are indicated as BHP & lb-ft

BHP = Torque (lbft) x RPM / 5252

BHP is calculated from the torque, which is what dyno's measure.

As above, its by deinfition.


Same as 1 litre of pure water always weighs 1kg.

Cause thats how 1kg is defined in the first place!
