Theres a tongue in cheek comment.
Worked fine on my S2- were perfectly able to bring the temperature down and make the fans cut out.
I know of a few cars which run them and they work fine - having said that Motorbike fans are probably a good idea but can be more expensive and its difficult to size em up.
Computer fans- open maplins catologue and it tells you the sizes and outputs and they do a discount for bulk purchases.

thing is with using computer fans is their not disigned to work under the force of wind that will be blown onto them while driving, so they tend to pack up after a while.

i had a grs mk2 intercooler and ally rad .. and i ran twin 12" kenlow fans .. no problems with it at all... just move the rad back towards the engine and replace the engine mounts, move the alternator back and fit a smaller diameter belt (or it chews through the water pipe)

on mine the four fans were not enough to cool the car alone during extreme driving (ring). On the street given enough time off boost they would maintain temp but not cool by much. When used in conjuction with the cabin fans on full it cools down the temps under all conditions but this does involve sweating like a pig. Ive been told to seal the fans to the rad so all air flow generated by the fans is forced through the rad and does not seap out of the side of the casing (where the fan meets the rad) which it tends to do due to less resistance. Yet to try this though. Im hoping fitment of an oil cooler may also swing the balance a bit more.

computer fans are using axial flow fans that are not designed to work against a high airside pressure (trying to suck through the rad (& i/c?) fins). they're ok to just move air
