bumped the RS!!
i just had a accident in the RS, hit a concrete post at about 30mph head on,, its not bust the rad, or anything but i think its bent the anti roll bar as the wheels dont seem to line up straight now, does this sound like the anti roll bar is causing this??

nah luckily the post was only held in with mud, and not concrete, so its hit the cross mamber and bent the anti roll bar i think, to look at the car from the front u would not bleve it hit a concrete post, looks normal with a crack in the bumper, but drive wank now, so do u think the anti roll bar has caused the wheel to be out of line??

the front is not caved in at all or mashed!!! its just bent in the crossmember a little and has caused the ARB to bend, is this whats causing the wheels to be out of line then?

the post only sticks out of the ground about 1.5 feet, and burried in mud so they went over fairly easy.. ok ive took off the bumper and its not touched the rad or cooler, its slightly twisted the cross member which has caused the ARB to bend, so looks like i need to twist the crossmember a little so the arb will fit straight to it, it aint pushed the cross member back at all or creased it so i cant see it pulling the suspension legs in, it looks like ive only hit it at 10mph.lol..
but lesson learnt
exactly the same date last year i rolled a RS Turbo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Working on the Highways mate I can assure you there is no way on earth you hit a concret post at 30mph. Even buried in mud the weight of the concrete would do a Hell of a lot of damage and would certainly write the car off.
Think you mean you shat your pants at 30 and hit it at 5-10 to do the damage you describe.
Concrete doesn't move hence why we use it

if u look at the cross member the bottom of it sits further back than the top,, im very lucky its only caused that damage,, the TCA is bent along with the ARB.. but may put a RS1600i ARB on..
i aint jokig but i hit it at about 20-30..

yeah, to look at it underneith most of the impact was the passengrs side, as where th ARB sits in the TCA its slightly bent, and looks like that the ARB has bent back hence the wheel sat back..
