07/12/06.. THE DAY I BECAME A DAD,,, ELLA WAS BORN,,,
Well finally she has arrived...
at 2pm thursday, Ella Rose Katherine was born...
7lb 2oz....
both baby and mother are well... mrs is still sore and had me doing everything...
,,, not that i mind...
i`m over the moon.. and even just made my first bottles up....
so the biggest and happiest day of my life....
say hello to Ella....
only pic of me phone for now... camera won`t upload...

I was in your shoes last March.
Amazing how quickly they're running around and trying to talk...
At the risk of poking my nose in on a somewhat taboo subject, is she not gonna breast feed?
It's awesome! No bottles to make, no sterilisation, no warming milk up - it's just there when baby needs/wants it. It's proven to be far better than any man made effort, mum gives baby her antibodies, it helps mum get back in shape and it's free!
I understand that some women can't get on with it though, so apologies if that's the case.
I was in your shoes last March.

my mrs breast feeds, but they have little bottles at the hospital to shut up little tykes who wear out their mums so we used to bosh one of them into his little gob until he settled down 
it's always nice to have bottle make up skills, but our families tend to frown upon the bloke doing anything in the bringing up of kids, so i get loads of funny looks from my folks as i feed junior, either food or bottle
but whatever you do, make sure you do it together, if you see dads face poking over mums titty while you are being fed, it's a LOT easier when you stick a bottle in the face and try to get them to latch on
and there is also a trick with a hair drier, but i'm sure you'll work that out

cheers all....
well 2 days down the line and all is still great....
only up at 2am and 7 am.... 
20 changing nappies already...
all still so worth it....
hopefully a few new pics later....

It's coming up to 2 weeks since our lad was born and god is it hard work, but well worth it!
My brain has turned into a mush type mess so I'm back off to my pit for a kip.....zzzzzzz
