I'm on the ladder!!!!!!
Just got the phone call to tell me I can pick up the keys to my first home. Haven't wanted to say too much in case things went pear shaped.
It's only a 2 up 2 down pad but it's mine and it gets me on the ladder.
Never been so chuffed to be this broke. On the plus side we've managed to get it without selling either RS's or our horse so all round a bit of a result
Just need to sort my NTL out for the telly and broadband and I'm laughing

fair play mate,,,,, does it have a garage or you still gonna use your old batcave

Just reading this thread. thinking this is going to be me next week. We were just discussing a date of the 22nd. estate agents call, the bloody womens just dropped dead whos house i'm buying..... so its now all fallen through. I'm gutted lost all cash and i've gotta start again. She was only 25 so fuck knows what happened there....

Congratulations mate, it's a wicked feeling aint it! 
I bought my first place in March this year, got a Flat on buy to let, love it, got it when I was 22 aswell!

Having a few issues at the moment like trying to sort NTL out. The previous owner had NTL all plumbed in and running yet NTL are telling me they can't offer any services. To make matters worse there is no TV aerial so I now need to put one in and we have no phone or broadband
Only wanted the NTL for the TV as we're not allowed to put a dish up

Well done mate, welcome to the wonderful world of budgeting EVERYTHING I bought my first house 10 years ago when I was 21, now in my second and things are still the same just cost more Best thing to do though, bricks and mortar is the best investment you can ever make regardless of what anyone says
