After the Cossie being bought and garaged I now have no car until Jan when my Audi arrives and as the missus was driving around in a bright yellow MX5 it was time for a change as the Mazda really didn't float my boat and my lad was not too impressed with the suggestion of being squashed in the boot when we go out LOL!!!

great little car all creature comforts, is there really 197 hp under the bonnet though??? I really can't get used to non turbo cars they seem sooooo slow I'm sure its not just seems it
had a bit of a play with a Mini Cooper S John Cooper Works this morning and the 2 cars seemed pretty much identical straight line ooomph. Handling is as you'd expect very precise and pointy not attempted any induced oversteer as I don't think 'er indoors would be too impressed with me putting her day old car through a hedge LOL!! The brembo brakes are very aggressive slightest touch and your picking your teeth out the dashboard deffo need getting used to. 6 speed box is ok, seems a little vague and when in 6th @ 70mph your doing around 4K rpm which I guess would start to get a little tedious on a motorway if you wanted to cruise at 90mph, upside is car pulls extremely well in all gears from most speeds
Standard seats are great so I would imagine the upgraded recaro's are even better!!! Nice raspy exhaust note as well especially when you hit 6000 rpm ad you get a little extra shove.
Keyless entry is weird, you feel like you have forgot to do something when you turn the engine off and sit there for a few seconds trying to work out what it is
Yesterday I was trying to work out whether the fooking doors were locked or not so kept locking the doors then trying the handle which obviously bloody opens itself again LOL!!! Talk about muppet!!!
Altogether very pleased

personally I think they look better, but as with all modern cars they lust get heavier and heavier, but then this is for 'er indoors and she started by looking at a megane 1.5 diesel so it was a result for me
