thinking of gettin house with girlfriend??
as above thinking seriously of gettin a house with my girlfriend.be great to have our own place but im thinking the series one would have to go 
real tears dont think i could afford to spend money like i do just now and pay a mortgage etc etc etc.how do you guys find it with a house out there and having an rs or two.

Finish the series one, then get a house. Depending where you wanna go (plenty of cheap ares around us) you can get a decent mortgage.
With the kinda money you make, you'll be able to buy a palace around here. Best have a sprog too, then the state just throw money at you.
If you could get the girl to develop a drug habit, you could probably retire
Seriously though, I never thought I could afford it, while I stayed at home. As soon as you do it, you realise that you dont pay out as much as you think.
In a month, I pay out about Ł600 for house stuff, but I do have a mega cheap mortgage. So Ł350 for the rest of the bills and stuff.

Moved in last Thursday with my bird first house and all the toys have gone 
BMW in sig sold and now pootle about in a newer slightly slower beemer!
unless you both on good wages then it will have to go. you may afford to keep it, but running it is a different matter.
plus the way i saw it, the cash in the car (6.5k) was far better used as a deposit and therefore smaller mortgage than an ornament!

if you buy a house together, make sure you put in equal amounts
that way, if the worst were to happen, you would each have a fair share of the procceds
but think about it very carefully, the longer you wait the more money you need to save, but don't sell the motor, you'll have to get the bus

i live in the town that was voted the 2nd most expensive place to buy a house in a recent survey so im fooked , the only way i will ever get my own place is to sell my car (not worth a great deal), sell my body (worth even less), sell a kidney ( hmmmm, maybe

i make good wages but she doesnt really.a will finish it a think and get one.would be a good deposit tho.hard choice as a defo wana get a house wae her.been to bank.700 quid a month for 120000 quid mortgage.a can pay that no problem but then theres the rest of the bills to deal with

Stevenbm - if the car is all bought and paid for, and insurance costs etc are reasonable then keep the car. But, and it's a BIG but..........the house is more important mate.........so if means money would be tight keeping the car, it has to go.
