Default Primera 2.0 eGT engine question...........

Are the engines in the standard 2.0 Primeras the same as the 2.0 eGT models ??

Sold a eGT to my bro in law few months back and he's boiled it and looks like the engine is fooked !!!

Dont want to risk trying to repair this one as i have already done a head gasket on it just before he bought the car ( had the head skimmed and used genuine Nissan gasket )

Thought i would pick up a standard engine easier and cheaper than the eGT one but need to know if it will fit or what differences there are.

Cheers guys

No mate, the eGT's were 148 bhp and all the other 2 litres were 128bhp.

No idea what the difference was though, sorry.

I presume it's a P10 model as you say 2.0eGT?
The normal 2 litre out of a GS/GSX will fit but is down on power to the tune of about 30bhp

My mate reckoned it was just the ecu that was fiddled with and bought one for his 2.0, never fitted it though.

The P10 was the earlier shape right after the Bluebird with adj suspension all round.
The P11 was the later shape that went from P up to about V reg with handling honed by Dirk Schoysmann at the 'Ring
