I had a Super Tuff Burner which I took the gold off and it was then chromed with black Skyway wheels. Would be worth a lot of money now. Dont sell it as I suspect it will appreciate in value.

They don't seem to be that much money. There's some companies out there selling them for around £120. I'd of thought they'd be a lot more than that. I'm sure mine was about £90

Done a bit of research and of all the 80,s b.mx,s ,these were the most popular. This kind of bike in this condition are fetching around £100-£150 which is,nt bad as this cost my parents £149.99 in 1985.

Here is the full RALEIGH BURNER list in order of cost.Find out how much your parents loved you by checking out where your is .EXPENSIVE at the top and CHEAP at the bottom.

1.AREO BURNER
2.ULTRA BURNER
3.SUPER TUFF BURNER
4.NIGHT BURNER
5.SUPER BURNER
6.MAG BURNER
7.CHROME BURNER
8.BURNER..RED/BLUE.

Mine is No 2 so i guess i was quite lucky.

One word to say on the subject of GRIFTERS.......TOGGLE CHAIN.

Blimey you as well Bunny hoping involved pulling ya arms out of their sockets

Anyone remember the BMX that was under the guise of 'Street Hawk'? Had the gizmo panel on the crossbar for all the noises and of course the boost and missile launcher

And before that the little yellow siren attached to your handle bars, had a little red button and you could interchange the siren noises between a Police car, Fire engine and an Ambulance!! Back then they had individual noises to set them apart

OMG

Thats it!!!!

Strange...........

I never managed to upgrade to a Grifter, i had the Boxer and then went onto what must of been a catalogue BMX because it was delivered on a low loader That explains my orangutan arms and tha fact that any home built ramps were crushed upon my arrival at the point of contact

Anyway lol, i always thought Grifters were bigger than this

Ahhhh the quality Stermy Archer(??) gears, top notch

Grifters were the heaviest bikes known to man....

And the twist grip was shit, every time you pulled a wheelie you changed gear....

Ahhhh the good old days...
