most sierras/granadas used a reed type senser in the window washer fluid bottle, when the level got low this would put a light on the dash. Only trouble being i'm pretty sure it works on measuring resistance and i don't know how you could get it to work to trigger a light on the dash without wiring up the module for it all.

if you want a float switch,,, rs sell many,, www.rswww.com
if you want a gauge to measure how much water you got left in the tank, its a little more complex, would be either resistance or ultrasonic

Just find any old car with one fitted to the washer fluid bottle.
They work reallly simply. Theres 2 prongs horizontal to each other near the bottom of the tank. The water in there makes the electrical connection, so the light stays off. As soon as the water drops below the level, the connection between the prongs is broken and the light comes on.
