S1 Fuel Pump Relay

I did a quick search but didn't find anything. But can you use S2 Relay in an S1? I know the obvious difference but they essentially do same thing. But there is 1 wire extra, what is that for? Cheers

The extra wire conects to the negative side of the coil from pin1/TD. I would use the proper relay for the job, but others would probably use a S2 relay.

I got replacement from motor factors and he knew it was for s1 but the one they got was s2 one. So i thought that maybe they just make the 1 and it can be adapted for s1.
