Mine was also on number 4 .

Do you have odd noises when it misses? like an exhaust blow. I could hear the air passing the exhaust valve sounded like a leak but it didnt have one

Just out of interest Radiant Red, what exhaust sytem are you running your Sapph on? It sounded lovely at the well lane rolling road day.

Nope its still not right.

Had it in today and it was running stupidly rich, managed to get the co down to 6. Been advised to get the injectors cleaned and a set up on the rollers.

Dont get it setup on the rollers. Take it to someone who knows what they are doing who can listen for det and check fuelling on the road as you cant properly re-create road conditions for load on the engine on the rollers. Thats my advice anyway. It would seem the only thing rolling roads are good for is giving you an in-accurate display of power you either have got or isnt measured correctly

Erm.....

My geography and locations within England are shit lol

Seeing as you said North then it has to be Stu at MSD really. He is in Blackpool. Or if you wanna come further south then Karl Norris is in Coventry I beleive.

Or further south still you have Mark at M.A.D (J10 M4) or even further south near essex you have Ahmed Bayjoo at Grove Garage.

Im not sure where Martin Hadland (Reyland)

Thats the only people i would recommend.

Think Stu at MSD will be best for me to get to, Blackpool is only a couple hours away. Any one got his number so I can give him a bell, or Website?

Cheers people

would have been impossible to set my car up the way it is on the road Rich..

Rollng roads are much quicker for findinf faults seeing as you can run it up as many times as needed with out risking the engine

Quick update on my situation.

Pulled the Ecu out of it today and had a look inside, under the EPROM chip and very close surrounding areas the circuit board is dull whereas the rest of the board is shiny green. Does this mean its been damp or shorting out or.....?

I have bought a new crank sensor and coolant temp sensor to fit to it too when I can bring myself to brave the cold and go outside and do them.

Sometimes a wiggle of the connector to the ecu is all it take to get things sorted. A slightly loose connection is all it would tkae for your described symptoms. Strange but true. See how you get on. Hope it all stays ok for you
