Default My new Pro Alloy RS 500 style Intercooler!

Picked my car up from Wayne on Saturday with this bad boy installed…

I have the first Escort Cosworth RS500 style intercooler from Pro Alloy,
also Wayne believes it’s the first time a 50mm thick core intercooler has
been installed in and Escort Cosworth!
OK, not the first but most RS500 style intercoolers tend to be 40mm.

I have to say that I am impressed so far,
The drive home showed, lower air charge temps, not all that surprising I suppose!

The car felt better, more responsive, pulled harder & stronger all the to the rev limiter!

I think this is due to the physical size & good airflow compared to the smaller more restrictive standard intercooler.

Also the build quality is excellent and it looks a beast!

Also here is a picture of my new Pro Alloy swirl pot.

To follow will be a nice oil breather & possibly a new alloy header tank too.

Again big thanks to Wayne at www.proalloy.co.uk top bloke top poducts!

Wayne and the guys fiited it, I dont think they had any problems.

I think it goes in from underneath the car, so no need to take the bumper off.

also its designed to use your standard hose arrangement, so no need to buy custom made ones.

OK, thanks for the info Ian. I think most RS 500 style replica ones tend to be 40mm.

No probs mate .... I am sure Pro Alloy will very soon become the market leader in road car applications down to the superb quality of finish etc. Fair play to Wayne and co for his hard work.

I fitted one to the saff the weekend(PRO ALLOY) just bolted straight up no fooking about.
As long as you use the rubber mounts and sleeves bolts off the water rad you can`t go wrong
finns 6103130 x 4 rubber bush Ł0.41 p
1610196 X 2 sleeves Ł0.45 p
6153053 x 2 bolts Ł 0.41p
well pleased with it car pick`s up a lot quicker and smoother than before
