Default 2wd cos abs vibrating pedal

right the abs light has always been on since i got the car.

so yesterday i changed all the wheel sensors but the light was still on

then this morning i was zip tying some cables up out of the way and

noticed that the green relay under glove box was not plugged in properly

plugged it in and the light went out

then just went out for a drive and at first the brakes work fine then the

pedal drops then pulses/vibrates 3/4 times and then the car stops slowly.

then the brakes dont work for a few seconds after this has happened and

the pedal is rock hard wont stop at all .

anyone know what this could be

that's obviously why the previous owner pulled the relay out rather than fix the problem

when you replaced the sensors, did you clean up the earth points for them? needs to be back to bright metal.

the fault that you describe is the most common sierra abs fault, and is usually caused by an imbalance in speed readings between front and rear sensors. usually cured by earthing the sensors properly, or in some cases replacement
