greg .. really appreciated you going on
i had a great time and will deffinatly do another for later in the year..
was nice to meet some new faces too... glad it was enjoyed by all..
cars of the day for me personally were the mk1 and mk2 and cliff's S1 .. but i do have a weakness for old skool fords
was impressed by the xr4i turned up did its run and that was that but the overal turn out of cars was very high ..
think i won the award for the dirtiest car ... as well as numptie of the day for not thinking about filling the tank up with fresh fuel .. i mean .. no one would think you can't use 6 month old fuel for a power run, i knew i had forgotten one major thing today and i need a new clutch on top now
seriously tho its the people that make the day and for me it was great .. once again thank you all

Yup, was a brilliant day as usual. Good bunch of people. I found out why my car only made 160 though.....
i told him to MAKE SURE the car was boosting at 16psi at the limiter, but when i recalled my boost gauge on the way home, he had only set the boost to 13psi at the limiter! GRRRRR! Never mind.
I would be more then happy to leave a deposit next time. I like these days out.
PIG: You live in Reading? youmust be near me, im in wokingham. You'll have to take me out in your mk2 when you get a chance. I miss my MK1.

Charlie (RR operator) didn't want to push the old girl too much, he reckoned the rolling road was giving the clutch a hard time.
I hadn't planned on running her up and noticed this morning my rear tyres look a little low, considering you should up the pressures for a run, that probably didn't help either.
Oh well, considering the old girl's done 130,000 miles, still on original bottom end, turbo, gearbox and clutch as far as I know, she's not doing too badly

Mine made 243.2 at 6psi Haven't got a clue how that happened thought I had a standard T3 and I thought my boost guage was broken I spent a couple of months trying to get it up to 12 and gave up in the end thinking the guage was duff.
My brothers Ibiza Cupra made 158 book says 160 all hes changed is the filter and re-circ valve, show that shows how accurate the rollers are.
Now saving for a T34 and RS500 cooler to get the power up further
As said before good day out and nice to meet some new people
