PassionFord Post Whore!!
have this question quite regularly on xrtwo.com, the answer is yes, but its not a straight forward conversion, in comparison to the zetec lump its huge and alot heavier, takes alot of arseache to get it in the mk2 bay let alone mk1. best bet is stick to a zetec and plow the time/money/effort into getting more power from that, itll ultimately be a better car.

I have seen one in a mk1/2/3 fiestas before so it's possible.
Personally i just don't see the point when a zetec/cvh turbo is easier to get and cheaper to tune.

I just have a free RS2000 engine and trans that I can use and my brother-in-law has a MK3 Fiesta so I thought I could make it work. I'll just try to my some trades and see whats up. I also have a 1.4 out of a MK4 Fiesta do you think thats a better swap??

get the 2000 lump sold (try old school ford) seen a few in rear drive escorts.
can't see a reason to choose 2000 over zetec other than to be different
