Default cossy problem need advice

been trying to solve a problem with the cossy over the last few weeks ive got a squeel that is getting louder over the last few days.It sounds like a ballloon when you let the air out and the sound only comes at around 15psi when in high boost ? seems to be coming from the passenger side swapped most things dump valve ,checked hoses, isv valve car runs spot on bar this noise

any thoughts on the problem ???

could be the turbo making metal/metal contact, with the engine off, how much end float is there in the turbo shaft, is it like a d1ck up a shirt sleeve..?

other favouite is a split house that is only opening up under boost and letting a small amount of air leak, maybe inlet manifold gasget..

a good way to find leaks is to have the engine running, and geta can of carb cleaner. spray around all the joints , hoses, manifolds etc and see if the engine revs up, if it does, youve found the leak

there is a slight bit in the turbo but sounds like its from the other side ,also the car pulls perfect on low boost at about 15psi but soon as you switch high boost 24psi the noise starts you can make the noise come and go by feathering in the power (over 15psi) checked hoses etc does not tick over perfect but would you not haer a air leak on tick over ??

the turbo can still work perfectly & be out of balance m8
worth checking for air leaks though first, standard inlet mainifold gaskets are crap & regulary blow out. try changing these to a comectic if u haven't already. check all the hoses inc the small vac 1's esp the rigid plastic 1's to the map sensor & fpr.
then get it sorted so u & nick can entertain me on a wet track

have u got an air line?
if so get a plastic aerosol lid that fits nicely in the intake hose before the turbo & screw an airline fiiting in the centre. then u can pressurise your entire intake system & find a leak if any
u could also adapt one of those hand pump pressure sprayers from the garden centre.
I'm still betting on your turbo being out of balance though. is it the original 1 from when the engine let go? if so it may have suffered oil starvation. ps it can still be out of balance & have no play, noise only appears once the turbo gets past a certain rpm hence why u can hear it a high boost
