A decent M3 for £5k doesn't exist ...spend a bit more and get a decent one, else you'll find out it costs you early - mid loaded

I was looking for a late M5 or l/h/d M6 and ended up with an E38 740i ...fully loaded and totally not what I wanted in the first place, but total fsh from a friend and only 49k miles ...RESULT and what a great car I'm spending the rest on an extension to the new house I've just bought ..Oh and fueling it

..Its not that bad on a run but collects petrol tokens quickly round town ..true pimp mobile

I had a BMW 740, it was such a good car but the fuel bill was outrageous, the double glazing and soft closure boot and doors made it all worth while though...

I very much doubt mine will be over the 51k mile marker by this time next year ...not to keen on the colour off mine been silver nor the shitty BM'er wheels, but it'll do.

First time I used it on a run was from Reading to Gosport to see Eagle and it was pretty good averaging 33-35mpg at about 75-85mph ...round towns anywhere from 10 (reset trip computer) to maybe 18mpg depending on driving style ...hence the above statement about petrol stations

Lot of car for the money if you dont mind the bills that come with it

Out of the list you posted 230 merc kompressor is the most sensible choice imo, as for the others they are all boy racer, get ragged til breaks cars

Luciano, I've got a Merc C200 and what a pile of under powered shit that is ..Its got all the toys, but its just bland and nowhere like a BM IMO ...

If anything then maybe a C280 sport as there nicely specced with a bit of Ooomph for a weighty non handling toy

Anyway, dont listen to my advice as I know nothing
