spec:
8.2:1CR,
ported head,
standard cams (for the minute)
T61 turbo and Turbonetics external wastegate running 10psi at present,
stainless pipework,
Proalloy intercooler with larger 105mm in/out pipes,
1000cc/min walbro injectors,
L8 ecu with karl norris map, bought with injectors/ECU untill mine goes into Paul Hills next year to get mapped to my P8/ALS ECU,
10mm plug leads
iriddium race plugs
AP 4 paddle clutch,
helical 1st,2nd and 3rd gears in T5 RWD box,
spax shocks/springs,
17inch ESA 6 spokes in anthracite,
standard brakes for the minute but 330mm/brembo calipers on the way,
sparco drivers seat,
leather passenger seat,
stripped interior,
mods to come:
brakes,
fit front + rear strutbraces that are lying in the boot!
50bhp NOS kit to fit on hot side of intercooler to help cooling of ACT`s even more,

harnesses,
few more bits and bobs but that`ll do for the minute!
hope you enjoy pics:

i`ll mostly use it for track/drag purposes but its also taxed and tested
i`ll be happy with 450bhp as i want to sacrifice a bit of top end power for massive torque, well in theory anyways
Alright Gareth, i`ll catch you on MSN tonight at some point
even on 10psi its much much quicker than my old spec of T35 and greys setup, bit laggy though but it needs the springs in wastegate replaced and they not here untill next weekend.

i have no idea what power, guessing 350ish? but loads and loads more torque though
it took me ages to decide on colours to do rocker cover, see how long before someone copies it

alright Davy/Lambchop etc!
cheers for comments people, much appreciated
hope to have Damien fully built to Destroyer spec by april next year.
After cam swops and remapped with P8/ALS i hope to have over 480bhp but even more torque.
Transmission mods possibly entail a quaife tall first gear/ultra close 2/3/4/5 with 3.9:1 diff or 6 speed T56 but i am waiting untill the motor is fully setup so i can see where the power delivery comes in,
if it is 4800+rpm when on full boost i will defanitley fit a 6sp box.
time will tell though, but for the minute my low boost setup is brilliant for making the same noise as a Harrier Jump Jet

i would run standard wheels if i could get good enough traction!
i only run 17`s because i seem to have less wheelspin, no matter what tyres i used on the 15" rims...... slicks etc......... once i fitted 17`s my 1/4 mile times instantley dropped by over 2 seconds.
even tried 15" wheels on full slicks and cant even get close to 13.2sec 1/4 mile times i ran on the 17`s.

dumb idea?
not being arsey but hows it dumb?
inject N2O on hot side, cools air before intercooler, then it is cooled by intercooler and lowers inlet charge temps even more.
proven fact in places like Australia,US and Malta.
i was told and given detailed rolling road and datalogged temp sensor/power readings this by the guys at Zqodi racing (spelling) in Malta who run a 7sec mk1 escort running 2wd cossie power.
as said before, NOT being arsey but after seeing power output and temp graphs in realtime setups, what do your setups/figures suggest?
i am genuinley interested in deferences in oppinion here as i have never had this discussion or been questioned on my choice for point of feed for a hard tuned and force fed (non naturally aspirated) engine, besides the american V8 setup!
regards (very very curious) Sean

Well I dont know about nitrous, but when injecting fuel pre intercooler is a bad idea as the rapid density change of the air when it has fuel vapour in it is a very destructive combination and will happily remove the front of your car. So depending on the Nitrous setup if you are injecting Nox and fuel at the same point I can see where it can lead, hence the concern.
I like the headlamp cover very 80's capri
