Default Mapping question about S8 ECU

Hi, im currently gathering all the parts for my N/A Zetec based track car, i have a SECS S8 ecu doing nothing and was wondering if it can be used for N/A using TPS V RPM? I can select the engine trigger type to Ford EDIS 4, and select no map sensor fitted but in the main Fuel and Ignition tables it still shows MAP v RPM

Am i missing something silly here or is it not possible to go N/A on this ECU

Cheers Bri.

You need the correct version of the software from SECS

Ah....... Thought it might be something simple, it threw me when i seen the option to disable MAP sensor and thought it would change the tables automatically, cheers Chip

What do you think would work best out of these:

STD inlet, T/B
Custom plenum, Cos T/B
Custom plenum, multiple Zetec T/B's (1 per cyl)
No plenum, multiple Zetec T/B's

Will have to make a remote ISCV for the multiple T/B idea, just toying with a few idea's at the moment

Your ecu can run N/A already.

Its not obvious how to do this and my implementation isnt ideal but it does work.

Select MAP sensor type as NOT FITTED.

Then rescale the IGNITION map BOOST scale to 0 to 10.0 psi
in divisions that suit your mapping requirements.

Then 0 to 10.0 psi represents 0 to 100% throttle position.
This will be echoed in the fuel map too.

Obviously then all map related settings become irrelivant.

Alternativly....

It is possible to use MAP on N/A but you will need to link all throttles
together with a pipe to the sesnor IF using throttle bodies.
You will also need to run a TPS too.
