No problems with the RAC, called them out twice now once for a flatbed. After a bit of hassling they sent one straight there and didn't bother wasting time with a patrol man. On the other occasion the patrol man fixed me up and the repair is still doing its job

I always get mine through my insurance because it's the best deal. We use the AA at work though on our company cars and when it broke down a few weeks ago and went into limp mode I called it in as I was 5 minutes from the office to get them to meet me there. They beat me

I've got cover with Britannia Rescue. They send out a recovery truck from any nearest place you are stranded so you don't have to wait hours for a company vehicle to come out. Cater for low & modified cars more easily & maybe quicker due to the fact they use local-to-you companies as opposed to a flatbed coming from hours away even tho they may have a service vehicle 10 mins down the road and they take you where you want to go.

Can't fault the AA, but read the new restrictions they have added to their Conditions first.

I got offered a job with the AA last year and thought they were very professional during my practicle testing. If I still lived in the UK I would use them, and probably work for them too.

That's what I mean tho mate, they will ring round local companies to get a flat-bed instead of having to wait for an AA (for example) flat-bed that was 2 hours away.

Same here - If you have the Additions Plus account, like me, you get full european cover too, and UK cover that allows your car to be recovered from anywhere in the UK mainland to your chosen destination, OR home address, plus courtersy car etc etc etc

Cannot fault Green Flag at all, been with them for about 5 years with various freebies and payed for policies, they are on the ball and always sent a flatbed truck for my cars when requested

Mines with Brittania Rescue when I phoned them they told me they had to send a patrol man out (even though I told them just to send a flatbed) he turned up an hour after phoning to say "Cosworth, I'll arrange a flatbed" that then took two hours to get me

I discovered the day after that one of the fuses on the alarm had shorted out on the steering column so I could have fixed it myself in a couple of minutes

Thats what the RAC did, sent the nearest flat bed they could.
