Mike, regarding teh alloy front diff cover you do, it looks really good - but has it been proven to make the std casing stronger overall..?

Yes, these have been available for some while in Sweden and used in quarter mile cars running standard diffs . It will stop the gears from climbing up on each other and splitting the casing open (as the standard casing has enough flex to allow this to happen ). But it WON'T stop the the casing breaking if a tooth comes off the CWP and gets jammed in between, as this will just punch a hole through the casing !

Marco, the Quaife only just fits between crossmember and 4x4 sump, you have to create room to fit a bigger diff by using special modifird sump, and special/custom drive shafts........I cannot justify all the agro on a road car TBH

Diff strengthening plate was supplied B9COS. These are very well made with 8mm holes to match the Quaife case & bolt size.

i have been known to dabble with these things gareth

i looked into fitting the 7.5" diff when i fitted the FFD box and 9" rear diff....but couldnt be bothered with the hassle of the front....so i fitted the quaiffe thickwall....and broke it!

Hi There.

Didnt think i would have ever seen that m8.

It could be down to a bad casting that got weaker over time.

Cheers.

How much are the R&B plates? My escos will be running 350ish BHP, will the STD diff with a plate take launching abuse without killing itself? I managed to snap a driveshaft on STD power a few weeks ago

Bernie has sorted me out a very good deal, whereby I end up with a brand new thick-wall case, and fresh internals that have been polished/peened, all fully assembled, and all at VERY modest cost to me...........It's a situation that I am 100% happy with..........

As I said early in the post - Bernie has ALlWAYS looked after me....

Doug

to be honest mate i really do feel sorry you 4wd boys

this is what it costs just for a bit of traction thats one main reason i wouldn't ever go 4wd once you go over 320bhp everything is on a wing and a prayer

1, i cant afford it
2, too much agro
3, i love rwd too much

chin up doug if theres anything i can help you with just lets us know
