Default DVLA and a BAN

DVLA sent me a letter to say my license was no longer vaild and i have to pay for a new one

Doubt you'll have much luck with getting it back to be honest

So now you are going to be banned??? Or is that still out of the window??

it sounds like you escaped a ban and had to pay for a new licence. I'd take that as a result personally!

I had the same thing last year.

I was going to be getting a ban. But they decided not to pursue the prosecution. I never went to court. I sent them my license when I replied to the writ from the court.

They told me they would sent me all my paperwork back, they didn't. I phoned them and they told me I would need to apply for a replacement license from the DVLA with the fee of £19. I still have not recieved my license and they have not cashed the cheque yet.

It's been quite a while since I last saw my driving license. almost a year infact.....

Its a poll because there is that option and he wants to do it
and if it aint worth bleating about because its only a few quid
then i'm sure someone on here can send him the money ....

He will not win with the dvla but hes right they should replace it for free.
Will never happen though

If he's got away with the ban then i dont see why he should get the money back....

If he hasnt got away with the ban then yeah they shouldnt have charged him for something he didnt need to do....

But either way doubt you'll get bugger all back!

For someone to get banned they must have done something wrong, to escape a ban on a technicality it just good luck, the £19 to replace the licence is a small price to pay IMHO.

I agree technically he is right, but some things just aint worth arguing about.

True. The DVLA don't help though, they've lost 3 forms so far. And now they are sending it back because the person who signed the back of my photo is now related to me

She used to be my girlfriends sister, but now she's my sister in law, making her inelligable to verify my ID....

If they'd processed the form the first time it's be no problem

You can tell it's a goverment operation

£19 sounds cheap personally, when I had paperwork thru at the end of my ban I had to pay close to £50 to get my licence back.
