I'll buy the whole car off you with a know fault for a fair price of Ł500. That will save you the time a effort of having to break it and sell the parts on.

I have taken the exhaust shield off and done what stavros said..no difference...i did however find the actuator had been wound right up so there was no more adjustment...i have put it back to half moon...noise still there and as you rev the rattle is coming from the cam area NOT the turbo IMO

When you say rattle, describe the noise:

Is it regular or irregular?

It could be the ehaust manifold gaskets and what you are hearing is the valves opening and closing.

If it's irregular I'm with Mike. Mine did it when I first fitted the T34 and was running round with no preload on the actuator.

It'll either be the gate rattling round or something loose somewhere rather than an engine problem

Neil.

Worth trying to find out anyway when selling the engine, as otherwise people might be put off buying it just in case its not something minor?

I wouldnt want a cossie as a runaround, too much hassle not wanting to park it places cause of vandals and thieves etc.

Plus i couldnt afford the fuel.
