The main benefit of going FLAPLESS is not having to have the damn thing fixed all the time, because they stick shut and cost you lots of performance! (and noise). That's why Gareth took his out.
With the flap installed - Noise wise you're better off using SPORT ON (sharper throttle) because it causes the flap to open fully earlier in the rev range (~3500rpm), rather than later with SPORT OFF (~6500rpm).

If you drive with SPORT ON and take the flap out, then you don't really have much of a noise gain over when it's installed and opening at 3500rpm.
Obviously you know these cars better than I, but doesnt having no flap at all mean you loose low end throttle response? Or is the flap solely there to hit the driveby noise regs?

Puddy, you've got to spend at least Ł35K to get a good low miler. Mines 3 years old and has done 21K miles. Looks and feels like it has done 2K though For what they are they are an aboslutely bargain!!

I saw one few weeks ago on a french trackday.
The car had titanium exhaust (7kg against the 70 of the genuine one!)
Porsche brakes on front
18" with slick (and another set of 19" for the road)

I was already in love with this car but now it's no way back I'll have one at some point when I'll tired of the Escoss

in the description you also forget to mention that it also comes with the SMG2 gearbox (sequentiel) as a std
