NGK 9 or Iridium............
Over here in the good old'e USA, NGK9's are still available at a hell of alot cheaper than in the UK (Where they're hard to find now). Iridiums also seem cheaper, but I need to know the Part Number for the Iridium equivalent/replacement for the NGK 9.
Anyone know the part number ????
Everythings bloody cheaper over here..... God we do get ripped of in England for car parts.

Last i heard on this site these iridium plugs were the dogs bollocks according to Stu but he wanted 100 quid a set 
I managed to get some for 60 quid at the weekend so i hope they are as good as they are made out to be!

Anyone confirm 220TC's Serial Number for Iridium equivalent to NGK9's.....
If I can confirm the part number, then i'll be bringing a bulk load back.

DO NOT NOT NOT use the NGK IRIDIUM IN A COSSIE ENGINE over 300BHP...
Im leaving to eat so dont have time to explain and ive had long technical arguments with NGK Racing department over this and they finally agreed they were wrong and that catalogied number is NOT suitable, but i wanted to make time to tell you tell you this as i respect your many miles away and have only brief access to pick up your info Jim and i didnt want to read you bought 1000sets!!
The Plug you want to buy is the old R7234-9 or R7235-9.

Jim,
The new Iridium's to my mind were too protruded for extensive use with high combustion temperatures and i spent a lot of time chasing NGK Racing for confirmation of suitability...
Eventually after much hard slog between different departments and even countries, and arguing the toss with poxy salesmen, i recieved this from someone who seemed to understand my problem at NGK racing Technical department:

The R7435 type is more projected than the R7235 type, the R7436 type is
less projected and is the best one to use for Cosworth engines and it is
iridium, they do not have a lower limit.
The R7435 has a conventional hook electrode, the R7235 also had a
conventional hook type but not as projected and the R7436 has a small
electrode on the side of the top of the plug, it might be easier to send
you a racing brochure so that you can see the different electrode
configurations.
But for people enquiring about the cosworth plugs we are suggested the new
iridium R7436 type which is the safest.

I have been a bulk purchaser of this plug for many years and am now left with a hole in my product range that i would like to correctly fill with another NGK product if possible. Many thanks in advance for any help you can give me on this matter.

We have ordered a less projected version of R7435 types which is R7436, but we are not due delivery until the middle of August and we do not have any of the old stock left.
