All BMW owners are Wankers*

*I reserve the right to withdraw this comment the minute i buy another...

Interesting post though this one Dan,you`ve opened a right can of worms ya fooker......

I have owned or driven(more than just round the block)most of the nice stuff,M3,M5,RS6,911, etc etc....But i always seem to end up back at the beginning with a cossie....
Fook knows why cos they are a bag of shit compared to all the previous, but as Mike says there is just something about them(Or he`s right about the disease)...
Ok i`ve spent a LOT of money on my Escos improving things to make it a much better car than it was but obviously all the other cars were much better to start with, but the cossies are FUN and keep me young....

Maybe i`m just not quite old enough to admit defeat yet and buy a grandad BMW....

Oh thats right..........i AM a grandad....

EIL132: THE E36 IS NOT A SAFE CAR END OF

MINE HAS EXACTLY THE SAME, STILL NOT SAFE TBH

GO AND HAVE A LOOK AT THE NCAP SITE YOURSELF

who said rst are safe....? i didnt!

in 30mph collision with your foot depressed on the brake pedal,

it comes back into the cockpit 32INCHES

TBH THATS A FAIR BIT

enough to break your leg hip and most probably pelvis aswell

NICE

i read somewhere else that in a 40mph collision
you have 0% chance of survival, BUT every accident is diferrent!!!

obviously a sore spot for you mate

just dont crash

i know bad aint it trev

we all know that 15 year old fords are dangerous but you would expect the e36 as its quite solid would be much much safer than it really is

Ive read this thread through and would have to agree that Ford dont offer anything the the market place that RWD-fun, Raw and exciting that I can afford, Im having to wait for the XR8/Typhoon to come into my budget and untill then I will have to stick to my sapphire cosworths, I fancy an escort but thats 4x4 so will probably build my own 2wd for fun if I want to keep if FORD. I do however like the complete package you get with an M3, even the E36, good all rounder and the correct wheels driven too

I have a sensible car, the missus owns a 106, it gets you round, I would gladly drive a Golf diesel or any other car you can purchase from a forecourt knowing that at home I have a raw play thing to chuck about built to my own spec by myself
And for the speed thrills I have a motorbike, top Value for money-no contest

Why would it be a sore point? Never even enters my mind about ncap when buying any car, almost like expecting one if you do. All I was saying is how bad are these old cars in a smash if having all that safety protection gets you a 1 rating, more to the point why bother fitting them at all. Might strip it out now for a bit less weight seeing as it's a waste of time

im not interested in Fords really. what floats my boat is the RS and Cosworth part of it. Just so happens that Ford decided to use Cosworths expertise to make the Sierra and Escort Cosworth. Just think if Vauxhall had got there 1st. We would be called passionvauxhall and raving about Caviler Cosworths

Default selling

I have been toying about selling my cossie and just getting a normal everyday car st170 etc, been without my car for the past couple of months, mis-fire and some wiring loom problems, prior to that i have only driven it to ford fair this year and it had problems then,

got it back on wednesday all sorted and i took a days holiday to go out and have fun in it which i did, lol fookin loved it and now our relationship is back to smellin like roses,

Everyone who has owned a cossie and loves em if they sell it 9 times out of ten they end up buying another one and starting all over again,

wouldn't mine an evo though i must admit

I guess I've been lucky with my Sapphire as I've never really had anything that has stopped me driving it.

If I had to sell one of my cars it would be the 328 going in the local paper as I'm too attached to the old Ford

Quick Reply: Why is everyone selling there fords for BMW, AUDI etc.
