there are three versions

90 bhp tddi
105 bhp tdci and 115bhp

my mum has the 115 and although i would say it was rapid, its not bad.

and does 500+ miles on one tank

(this is all pre 2005 focus models)

The better one is the Focus TDCI sport, whack a bluefin on it and you should see around 148bhp and a shed load of torque.

just bought an 04 tdci sport 3 weeks ago paul.

lovely car. fuel needle will not go into the red!!

as for power less than i am used to. but a nice wee lump of torque to play with. very well worth buying imo.

Thinking of chopping my missus' BMW Touring for a cheaper car, I just looked into these TDCi sports and one advert said 'one of only 500 made' ? Are they rare then? or is that sales patter?

Ones years where they made and how much should I spent, the one i saw was a 5dr black '53 @ £6800

should get it for a couple of hundred less. mine is an 04 imperial blue 3 door with 48k. i got it out of a garage for £7300. not the cheapest but perfect condition. iirc there were 1500 3 doors made and 1000 3 doors. they look nice too. cheap to run as well they were made between 03 and 04.
