Default Distance to 200mph?

Roughtly how quickly you think a car that can do about 160mph over the quarter mile can get to 200mph if it was already rolling at about 70odd?

Bearing in mind its a very slippery and aerodynamic and does 160odd top speed as standard with under 300bhp...

Bloody quickly I guess, 3/4 of a mile?

And would you go in the car as a passenger, on the road, at that speed?

The rolling start makes no difference a fast car will reach 70 in less than 50m & that’s about .5 second at 200mph , so nothing gained. Only car I know that can get to 200mph in ž mile is Keiths. 160 in the quarter is no guide cos Longer gearing may be required.

Ants that heavy the car would never do it, hes a man mountain And his car dont do more than about 140mph terminals.

Rod- The gearing is fine for it, IIRC it wont even really go past peak rpm.

And speaking to him, he was thinking a roll on of 120odd anyhow, as any car can do that on even a twisty m-way.

Anyhow, this is theory, jus interested

There arnt any, its just theory

But if me and my imaginary RX7 owning friend was possibly considering maybe possibly considering it, maybe, it might look a bit like this.

The imaginary car would take the drag slicks off and put on some track tyres tho, as he said (in a dream, of course) its like you after a big night of fun, "a bit loose at the back end"
