Autocar tested a 285bhp spec 2wd Sapphire done by Turbo Technics back in 30/11/88. It had a modified turbo as well as a chip.
Did 0-60 in 5.2 and 0-100 in 12.8. Max of 152.5mph.
Performance Car did a proper full test of a 2wd Sapphire with about 340bhp in their Feb89(?) issue - modified by BBR. Recall 0-60 in 4.9 0-100 in about 11.5 and about 164mph. I can dig it out if you'd like the exact figs?
Cheers
Mike
