Default do you need to tell your insurance company if u get points?

just wondering if i need to tell my insurance company about getting 3 points for speeding before my renewal or just wait untill it comes round next year.

I told mine and they said it DIDN'T matter even when I renew it as loads of people are getting points from cameras?


ps ONLY as it was the 1st lot of points

yes ... if you fail to declare anything then have a prang ... the first thing they may say is .. oh look .. you lied .. its invalid ... not worth it ... but upto you ....

not a problem doing it. like u say it aint worth the risk.

just wanted to check so i either relax about it and not worry. or get it all sorted.

tell them as they cant increse your premium anyway


and it also wont affect yopu next year


where you get done mate,,,,, you sure it wasnt the missus driving or was it that time your mum borrowed the car for shopping

65 in a 50 on the way home from newcastle once.

i tried to argue it saying i didnt know who was driving. went on a bit and in the end i couldnt be arsed to go through court.
but i did get a decent picture of my car from it!

Yeah you need to tell them....cos if you have a prang and u didnt tell them then your insurance is invalid
