Anyone on here work with PCB's at component level ?
I need to replace the ac power adaptor socket on my nieces Laptop.
Motherboard is removed and I need a socket !
Anyone ?

hard to be clear from the pics Dave, would this one fit? You need to measure the diameter of the pin from the centre of the connector, it'll be 2.1mm or 2.5mm .

Got it sorted
Used a chassis mount power socket and ran wires off the PCB to socket terminals
Even managed to fit it so it is in same position as original socket
£80 + vat repair for £3.00
