Default Lets talk BRAKE PADS and DISCS.

Right got some rear brakes, the discs are a bit rusty, so I'm going to treat my self to some new discs and pads before I fit them.

Also, going to change the fronts, want a pad for Fast Road/Track days, and discs too..

It's an ST170 set up, except the front calipers which are Mondeo/X Type.

So what's the best pads/discs to go for?

Cheers!

unfortunatley ds2500's are not available.

mintex m1155 pads instead. im currently running m1144 which have been good both on the road, but also at various tracks (nurburgring, cadwell, silverstone).

To be honest I've never had any problems using the standard ST setup on track

i must say i find it hard to beleive they dont do 2500's for your car ... might try askin mike rainbird ..

ebc have a nice reputation for being a bit poo if used hard i had a set of discs and greenstuff on my old xr3i .. had to replace the discs after 2 months as they had warped.. tried to get a free set from the suppliers and was told it was due to me breaking too hard managed to set some greenstuff seriously smokng on one car that was with standard discs

the only thing i find with the ds2500 is they are really dusty. but they are stonkingly good pads imo.

at least the dust does come off though!

my source of the bad news.

m1144 are wicked and have never experienced fade with them, but have been recomended for both track and road the m1155 compound, as they have started to crack from the back.
