Default Fuel pump rewiring

I am rewiring my saff 4x4 fuel pump as I have fitted an 044. I was wanting to take the feed from the ecu but I am not sure which pin it is. I think it is pin 28 but I am not sure if that goes +12v or switches to earth.

Thanks

Graham

don't need to take wire from ECU just run a fused live from battery with a 30amp cable and use a normal 12v relay and wire it as per diagram job not forgetting to run some new earth wires also

Hi mate thanks for the reply.

Does it have to come from the inertia switch or can the feed come direct from the ecu? What benefits are there either way?

The feed from the inertia switch is only switching on the new relay,so your new feed wire to the battery is feeding the actual pump

This by-passes all the shit old wiring that feeds the pump

If you don't use the inertia switch you have got no protection in an accident, the pump will just keep running and spray petrol everywhere

Don't really see where your coming from with the ECU feed question?
