Default project costs

ive currently got a series 1 rs turbo what is standard enough but im having talks with ian howell about a 400bhp zetec turbo engine for about 9k but thats just the engine what about brakes, suspension, wheels etc ive gave it a quick tally of about 14k witch im now having second thaughts about, my question to you folks is; how many of you lott have acctualy met you project budget cos i dont wanna spend 15000 & still not have it finished the way i want

Pick a budget and a timescale, then double your budget and treble your timescale. Thats always about right

If you want a high - spe cone its going to cost you £££££££££'s!! I could personally never spend that kind of cash on a FWD RS Turbo!!

The only was to do it on the cheap is try and buy 2nd hand parts......I reckon mine has cost me £10k over the last 6 years
