i have converted my escort cossie to 2wd since i have done this i have oil pooring out of my spec r breather tank i have left the 4x4 kidny box on and blocked the pipe off that use to go to the 4x4 sump dose this need to be fitted to the 2wd sump any help

I have never looked inside the 4x4 separator but you can bet that if it's only started throwing oil out since this was blocked off then it's worth plumbing it back in and seeing what the results are.. let me know..

The kidney box on a 4x4 drains back into the sump unlike the 2wd one

Sounds like its filling with oil and pumping it up into the breather now that you have blocked the return off

You need to change to the 2wd type kidney box

will do .by the way just in cass you hav,nt looked at the pump post i put up its ok now thanks for your help

so there must be some sort of plate in side the 2wd one to stop the oil going in to the breather then i will try that tomorrow thanks
