The pedal linkage is shit
Easily solved by bracing the bulkhead.

My friend's was a black one with a reg very similar - A570 SFM I think.
I can remember it was pretty quick for a supposed std 115bhp car. Used to paste my 309 GTi from a standing or rolling start - got my own back when we came to bends though
