I reckon with some 20 inch chrome spinners and a retrim externally in leather, it could look "phat"

I thought that may be the case. It looks proper cheap and tacky though, and seeing as its different from the normal XR3i ones i did wonder

WHY though?

lol, no its not quite flexi duct.

The one in the picture has been oiled up to keep it supple. Its made from a very hard, tough plastic, however, after 20+ years most of them have gone dry and brittle between the ridges. Which means every time you have to take it off you gotta be soooo careful not to split it

Oh and its different from the XR3i ones cos its not a bloody XR3i

*steps back and awaits onslaught about how RSi's are justa rebadged XR3 *

The only thing i will say is what gains could you possibly see from that pipe over a XR3i one

the 16i project was started before and bt a seperate division from the xr3i project.

both were seperately developed from the xr3 and the projects clearly had separate objectives and went separate ways. the metering head etc is also different

Hey look at that, I still got a close up pic of my old one! I remember going through a stage where my coils were causing a misfire with so much pressure it used to blows the seals on this pipe at both ends, was a proper ball ache at the time

Still miss her

Plenium is different so the 3i linkage wouldn't fit

they couldnt 'carry it across' cause the 3i never existed when the 16i was being designed, it was Ford SVE in england that engineered the crap linkage for the rhd conversion.

sorry couldnt be bothered typing out all the differences bud, actually know plenty i think as i owned and restored one, used it as a daily driver for about 5 years, yes there are differences and plenty of motorsport parts but not really required on a car of this power, mind you you do need the fancy suspension to get round the corners as the brakes are so shit,by the way dont really appreciate the name calling
