Right, went round to fit the greys and got stuck

Ok thats what it should look like yea??

Our injectors have a blue shroud on the end ( not I don't mean the covers )

Am I supposed to pull them off cos I've pulled as hard as I like to and they don't move?

Part no on them is 0 280 150 403

Have a look!

Someone help please!!

Thanks

Right, I shoul have this right?

Then why do I have this??

The top half seem fine (although the top ring is too small to go on )
but the bottom half I've

A. Instead of a nice snug fitting metal washer I've got a plastic ring which is much bigger that the diameter of the metal end of the injector

B. I have 2 o rings instead of one

Anyone help or have amber just sent me the wrong fitting kit

I know the top pic is with the fitting kit on Craig and thge top half I'm not worried about as a bit of brute force and ignorance will get the top ring on but the lower half of the fitting kit seems all wrong

The pic show a metal washer, rubber o ring and the yellow pintle

My kit has no metal washer, a plastic ring which is to big for the shaft and 2 o-rings?!?!?

M8 a lot of kits have the grey plastic ring (which is just a spacer)
that what i got with mine
and the top ring i think i had to tap it on with a 8mm socket
just make sure the beveled edge faces the top

The kits do normally have extra rubber "o" rings

If you're fitting greys, I'm guessing its a 380bhp+ engine.

Personally if I wasn't 100% sure about what I was doing, I would bite the bullet and spend a few squids and travel a few miles to get it done by a pro.

If running greys there is probably a good few quid sunk into the engine, plus if it was my mate I'd worry about something me messing something up, or damaging the injector causing a melt down.....

If it was a straight job and looked how the picture said, then fine, but it looks like it's not. Hope it all works out - but IMO could end up with a rebuild, hence the comment.....

You know absolutely nothing about Alex's or Alex's friends knowledge and experience so kindly keep your snide comments to yourself

Having never fitted greys before and as they do not have the conventional euro clip fitting and we are dealing with fuel in a hot engine bay under 3-4 bar pressure do you not think it wise to ensure that they are fitted absolutely correctly???

I am a qualified mechanic and just because I've not fitted greys before does not mean I shouldn't attempt it, it simply means I should ensure I know exactly how they fit before fitting them.

It's not just a case of sticking in a chip, injectors, winding up the boost and hoping for the best.
Alex knows that, who are you to assume he doesn't??
