Had some good times in that car 7k in 5th the night we picked the car up on the motorway on the way home from Scotland being one of them then seeing a copper sat on a bridge as we slowed from that speed to a more normal one

you pulled into the old tescos after one of your first runs with daveys saf...
that sticks in my head as yours were the two quickest cars up falkirk back then.
remember you racing boab in his pulsar aswell!
that was more than just a few years ago

What made it quick?
Good maintenance
good head and cam ( there are better out there nowadays )
every part of the inlet or exhaust tract was matched or machined out right from the throttle body - cross over pipe, sandwich plate etc. Low inlet temps from the chargecooler and the subsequent twin cossie cooler.
It ran a t3 55 trim - 48 exhaust housing turbo.
12.5 psi took it to 149.9 mph the first time round with a fueling mod from AVA.
AVA did an ace job of setting it up.
As for those pics. They are sad. All that work and effort. However thats the way it goes with cars if u drive them hard. They wear out!
The std bottom end was still fine after 150k+ mls
as for the race against bob in the sunny what a laugh. the man didnt even have front brake calipers on the car, they were in the house L00L!!!

you cant say thats not quick for 12.5 psi boost
